i just bought a D201 and i have a question...i pluged it in and it has no recieve...i tested all the tubes they are all good...i dont have a mic for it yet..does the mic need to be pluged into the radio to recieve like other radios i have had before...and does anyone know were to turn up the recieve inside the radio..radio has good transmit dead keys 3 swings to 30 so that part is fine... |

It is not going to be that "simple" to just "turn up the receive". It is most likly an oscillator that has "dried up and died" over the years because of age. You don't need the microphone plugged in for RX to work in a Tram... 307 |

IT is most likely the Ba Board that is starting to go do to being near the power tube you can get 1 from nomadradio.com or tramtech I've gotten 2 trams up with a new 1 of these tram tech get's 49.00 for it it's a great upgrade and if you want the pots for the radio email me and i'll get out the bible for you also hope it's not a hard wire unit as we call them the rats nest up here no boards all hand wired and what a pain to trace a problem well try that and it may also be the secondary audio board to the right and that's where the pot for the receive is but 1st you'll need to zero it all Well my 2 cents again BT634 John Browning Boy in R.I. |
