I was just given a base ground plane antenna and have no clue as to what I have. I know that it was used on 11 meters. It has three sections of 9' vertical with a circular [ball] type top hat. There is a large coil [inclosed], painted red that conects the vertical element to the GP radials. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. My intent is to use it as a noise [receive only] antenna to feed my MFJ 1026 noise canceler. |

Hey Ironmask. Did you ever figure this out? I agree with Wankle. It sounds just like my old Super Mag, which was a great antenna! Keith in Atlanta |
