I WAS TALKING ON MY RADIO,THEN MY AMP BLEW A FUSE. I PUT A 6.5 AMP FUSE AND IT BLEW OUT TO.THE FUSE THAT CAME OUT TO START WITH DID NOT SAY HOW MANY AMPS IT WAS,DO YOU KNOW?IT SEEMS LIKE THE FUSE I PUT IN IT WOULD HAVE WORKED,BUT AS SOON AS I KEYED UP IT BLEW OUT.AND I TOOK THE AMP OUT OF LINE,BECAUSE MY RADIO WOULD NOT DO AS MANY WATTS,NOW MY RADIO WORKS FINE, BUT IN LINE WITH THE AMP IT DONT. DO YOU THINK ITS A TUBE,I CANT SEE ANYTHING BURNED IN EATHER TUBE. THANKS |

It is probably a diode in the High Voltage Power Supply. I would assume this because the HV is keyed in through the relay , If it blows when you key up , it must be the diodes OR capacitors in the doubler circuit. |
