AGAIN I ASK WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE GRITS OR HUSH PUPPIES WITH YOUR EGGS? MAYBE I SHOULD E MAIL TECH 181 SINCE HE SEEMS TO BE THE MOST INTELLIGENT TECH ON THE FORUM. THE REST OF YOU SEEM TO WANT TO BRAG ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE INSTEAD OF TRYING TO HELP OUT A PERSON IN NEED.

JACKBLACK,

I will have sausage with my eggs.

"307" and I try to answer as many questions as we can. Some of them we answer, some of them we can't. Some questions are answered by some of our other very knowledgeable forum members, which we have many.

In the last 6 weeks, our forum has doubled in size. We see an average of 45 posts a day here on Copper Talk, and the trend is increasing.

"307" and myself, on average, spend two hours a day of my time approving posts, answering questions, and helping people by E-Mail. We have even gone so far as to initiate AOL Instant Messenger chats with forum users and Copper customers to assist them in any way possible. Name one other company that can say that!

We try to promote an atmosphere of learning, and helpfulness, and remain one of the few (probably the only) CB forums where people aren't constantly complaining about other companies, fighting amongst each other, and slandering the entire electronic world.

Copper Talk is 100% radio, (99.9% now that I had to make this post), and we plan to keep it that way. The people who post here, some of them from the very beginning of the Copper Talk Forum have decades of experience. We have RF Engineers, AM Broadcast Engineers, and amatuer operators of the highest classes posting their thoughts and experiences with the rest of us. These people, have bragging rights, they've earned it, and their knowledge is priceless.

So if you have a question, please post the question in as much detail as you can, and someone will help you. If we can't help you, or we don't know the answer we will tell you. Take notice, we don't ban people here, we address the problem, listen to the customer, and come up with a solution.

As far as your radio goes, it could be a number of things. Possibly someone was tinkering where they shouldn't have been before they sold it and had it all messed up. The receive alignment could be off, there may be damaged components. It's hard to narrow down the problem without opening the thing up and putting some test equipment to it. Maybe someone else has had a similar experience and had the problem rectified and can remember what their problem was and share the solution with you.
