Can 307, or anybody else please tell me how to peak the modulation on the Cobra DX III? It is different than the Cobra DX II. I know that these are crappy little radios, but that is why I want to boost the mod up to 100%. I just put one of them in my girlfriends apartment with a homebrew wire dipole antenna so that we can keep in touch. SWR's are flat across the band (after much tweaking and adjusting), and I am able to get a decent signal on her, but the modulation could really stand an improvement. It is clear, but low. It tested out at about 80% on my modulation meter, but that is if you really get your face plastered up against the mic. |

Correction... I meant to say Cobra 19 DX III, in the post up above. I left out the "19". Thanks for any help. |

Guided Muscle, I have exhausted all of my references and can find nothing. I looked in 10 different books and over a dozen websites for you. I can't find any info on mods or power tweaks for the Cobra 19 DX III. Steve Tech181 Tech181@copperelectronics.com |

The best I can do is to tell you to cut "D-8" OR "D-105" , For peaking tweek up either "L305" and "L306" OR "L11, L12 and L13" depending on the model number..I can't find a DX version , however I think this will help... |
