I recently purchased a DX 93T and love it! I have a question regarding the PA jack. This 93T is modified for 11 meter and the PA jack acts like the external speaker jack (i.e. no PA just radio). I never tested the PA jack before the mod. Is this a result of the mod? Thank you for your response. |

Jestrick I would like to help you but I have never used or switched my PA on, I do not have a pa speaker to hook up to test, if you have any other questions on the radio I will try to help, one thing DO NOT HOOK UP AN AMP until you have done some research, the only ones so far to use is the sweet sixteen or the 1200. |

Karatebutcher, Thank you for the input regarding the amps. The 93T replaced a DX 959 and the PA speaker was already in-place. Maybe someone has knowledge about this issue and we will both learn something new. |

Jestrick yes be careful on the amp, the three stages of power are for the AM side, not ssb, ssb does not have a low setting, also one of the techs is supposed to have a review of the 93T before Christmas of this year |

The P.A. Jack SHOULD work as a speaker (horn type under the hood of your car). The MOD's have nothing to do with it... 307 |
