I just went to little keydown and got SMOKED!! I have a voyage-3 to 18 max. The guy had a Galaxy33 doing 45 bird watts. I do not buy in to the voyage being the same as the Galaxy's. I will be selling the voyage ASAP. Got to buy a galaxy!! I may run my 10 year old 25 with BIG finals though!--LORIDER in the Magnolia |

Lorider : It's your money but you will not buy a Galaxy 33 or any other model that will do 45 bird watts without serious modification .You guys need to compare apples to apples.Apples to oranges won't give you a honest comparison.Of course that is what keeps the economy rolling.Let me put it another way.Say you have a bad 69 SS427 Chevelle and your buddy blows your doors off with his 5.0 Mustang. Are you going to sell the Chevelle and but a 5.0 ? Contrary to belief , it's not a sin to get smoked. The United States got smoked in Viet Nam but we're still strokin'.73's Greenhornet |

Well, out of the box my VR-9000 outpreforms ANY of my previous radios! I did not peak it at all, the only thing that I have done is clipped the modulation................... for $179.99 this radio out performs anything on the market today and as far as modulation goes I walk all over Melaka bases, 2980's and SMOKE 2950's all from a stock radio 2 watt deadkey swings to 22 not too shabby in my book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |

Lorider: Let me give you a free education about competition key downs. If you have the know how you can build a awesome radio or amp that will do some serious watts. The deal is you only have to modulate for one minute at the time.If you take one of these radios and attempt to ratchet jaw for 30 minutes, you are going to melt down the internals. As I stated before Don Garlits is not going to drive his blown rail dragster to pick up groceries down at the local Food Mart.73's |

No the US didn't get smoked in Nam.. we left due to politics and didn't finish the objective. But what amounts to probably a 50:1 kill ratio at least.. nay, we didn't get smoked. |

LORIDER, THE VR 9000 IS A GREAT RADIO. BELIEVE ME I HAVE HAD THEM ALL. AS FAR AS A KEYDOWN, THEY DONT MEAN JACK . TAKE THOSE SAME RADIOS AND DO A DISTANCE CHECK. WHICH SOUNDS THE BEST AS FAR AS CLARITY, AND LOUDNESS? YOU CAN TAKE ANY RADIO AND JUNK IT UP TO OUTDO SOMEBODY FOR A FEW SECONDS, BUT WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO, SMOKE SOMEBODY OR HAVE A GOOD SOUNDING ALL AROUND RADIO. AS FAR AS YOUR WATTS, SEND IT TO 307, AND HAVE HIM TO GO THROUGH IT AND DO HIS STUFF.THERE IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE SOMEBODY THAT HAS SOMETHING BIGGER AND LOUDER, JUST DONT FALL INTO THE GROUP THAT THINKS THESE KEYDOWNS SHOW THE BEST RADIOS, THEY DONT. TRUST 307 AND LET HIM GO THROUGH IT. YOU DO HAVE A GOOD RADIO. |

You only get 18 I get 35 out of mine with a 4 watt dead key...But if I was doing a key down I would use a 29 ltd or some AM radio that is proven in the AM world. I used a ar3500 for years doing the jamboree's but that was another day when I used a 667 as a driver. The sky's the limit! |
