I was wondering what happens when you increase/decrease the number of turns of the RF Transformers in amps. Some amps have 4 turns, some have 5. What is the difference? |

You can actually "Gain" power by making them "tighter". I have done this many times and it works. 307 |

What do you mean by "tighter"? Is it just making sure the wire is wrapped tightly? |

You change the loading, that is all. You do not 'gain' power unless the amp was loaded improperly in the first place. |

What I mean is to re-wrap the coils as tightly as possible, Also what I mean by "gain power" is the fact that when some amps are built , they do not always take the time in manufacturing to maximize the design , thus when you "tighten" up the wire you in a sence pick up or "gain" the lost power the amp always had. This works great on the KLV-550 amp. If the amps had the best method of "loading" in the first place it would not work. Proof is in the pudding , I have tightened many , many of them... 307 |
