i have a uniden washington base that has lots of swing but very little power. i changed the final and got the swing but the power wont come back. the radio lights up and transmits but only about 1 mile down the road. just for the record i got this radio out of a basement of a friends house and it was in preety bad shape ty all help will be appretiated!!!

Do you have about 8 volts at the AM Power Regulator (goes to the driver and final)? If you do then it most likely needs an alignment. After a few years in a basement , things change as far as "settings"...

Is it the 858 chip or 8719 ? Both modify easily.
