Sold as non working....brand new look and smell...obviously never used much if at all. Doesn't transmit or receive but turns on. Need a ballpark price to repair if the PLL is bad...has an MB8719. It is a Classic radio that I would like to have repaired. Came with all paperwork including schematic, original Box and acessories. Email me if you can help. I need to know if it is cost effective to fix. Thanks. The only thing that I can see is that R131 has been cut......but the history of the radio is unknown, has been boxed and in storage. |

Also when the mike is keyed the green receive light remains green if that is important to know. |

Have you tried a different mic wired for that radio? Also, when turned on with an antenna connected,do you notice any meter movement?Knowing those thing's would be real helpful in putting you in the right direction for repair. |

Tried another mike plus the meter doesn't move on trans or receive. The PA function works. |

Got it back from the Tech today........it was missing a crystal. Radio is perfect now. I can't understand how a radio could pass for working if a crystal was missing. Another classic restored. |
