I have just perchased a five tone roger beep from your copperelectronics.com web site. When reading the instructions to install it refured to the radio's circuit diagram . My question to you is were would I find this diagram other the cobra radios.com? The radio is a Cobra 18 WX ST. Please if you have any helpfull hints for me they are welcome I am new to this.

You can call Cobra at 1-800-COBRA-22 and order it. It is cheap. It is the Service Manual. |

Ya , but do you really want to put in in that radio? That is the cheapest radio on the market. Not to say it is not a good one however it seems to me like a lot of work for a tiny rig. |

well a radio is good or bad depending on its use,,, and Derb_2 is using it because its small enough to use for a slip seat driver as he is in the City,,, its better then buying a 2970DX and it getting stolen from his truck while hes in a building making a delivery,,,,wouldnt you agree? and what better than for a couple of newbies than to TINKER on that radio instead of the ranger ,,,we all gotta learn somewhere anyhow i digress just defending my brother in laws reason for purchase LOL ....we wired it up,,,, all we really needed was a mic diagram so we would know what each pin did after that it was simple ,,,,and by the way Cobra did answer our email and phone call to them and they are sending the schematic cheap just like you said ,,,FREE!!!!!! thanks for your help |

well 307 heres a challenge for ya this same cobra 18wx we were wondering how to turn up the modulation and the power and cant find any info on it the company wont let him install a amp in his truck so we need to do what ever we can with the radio any ideas? |

Actually there is only 1 thing you can do to improve an 18WX and that is remove the AMC control. Unfortunatly the new ones have a Surface Mount Transistor in and it takes a little more than describing it. Wish I can help but an 18WX is the worst built for peaking. |

I hope yall dont mind me saying this But the Cobra 18wxst is the worst piece of crap Ive ever owned Hed be better off to Unplug the Mic and Put it on a diferent radio I unfortunately own one these Cobra mistakes Never again Im sticking with Uniden and Posibly a Galaxy in the future

Would it be possible to wire 2 of these boards in back to back. I would like one to go up the musical scale and one to come down?? |
