I ordered the Boomer 400 and recieved the Palomar 450 (That's a good thing) I love the Palomar 450 QUESTION; What would be the best input wattage of this amp. 1 watt.... 1.5 watts.... 2 watts oli |

my factory uniden is wired staight to the back of my palomar 450 with 4w input with a 18 ft coax and a wilson trucker 2000, and it sounds like a clean big boy -on my neighbors television. only prob i've had is somewhere along the line my recieve got fried. |

I run my Magnum S9 with my Palomar 450 (not variable) as a Base and set the deadkey at 3.5 watts. Need to keep an eye on it when changing freq as it will sneak up. Recommendation to me was 2 to 4 watts in, no more than that. They were right. Already fried all 4 SD1446s once by using more. It is a great little amp but can suck amperage (around 32) when full out. |
