Do any of the Techs have a easy way to put switchable on/off talkback in a Melaka? I can do the mod if it is not too involved. Thanks |

To add Talkback to your Galaxy Melaka , Locate D-80 inside the radio near the Audio Transformer. Cut one end of D-80. Add a switch to bridge the cut (Off/On)...Thats it. There are pictures how to do it in the Subscribe area of the Forum.. 307 |

I installed a on/off switch and it works perfect no squeal You might want to make sure you dont have a piece of soldier touching another part |

Hmmm...Is your antenna well grounded? Sounds like a ground loop... 307 |

Ok Will look for solder bridge. The antenna has 4 9ft ground rods at 90dgr so i dont think that is it |
