I got a Euro 3900, Super talk kit, echo board, freq counter, and 575 M6 mic from copper about 4 years ago. I'm happy about everything BUT the supertalk. I don't remember the model but it looks like a purple ice cube with some wires sticking out. I installed it exactly as per instructions.

I have constantly had oscillation problems and RF feedback problems in the audio ciurcit. Yesterday it got so bad it burnt out my mic! I just took the thing out of the radio and have better modulation and no RF feedback probs.

Folks, watch out for those kits! I wish I had known better and knew how to do a NPC mod. I would like to do it and adjust the bias on the final and driver.

More later.

Has anyone had anything similar to my experience above?

Hey Znut,,with running a power mic and super talk you are just asking for major feedback. They both do basically the same job only one is internal and one is external. Plus the echo board will cause an overdrive when used with the super talk also as it adds to the modulation a little. You may have had to high a voltage going to your echo also, if you have 12 volts going to it rather than 9, it will cause the echo to overdrive also. But if you removed the super talk and cured the problem I would leave it as is, just stick with the power mic.
