to open up the modulation on the rci 2985dx you take out q43 limiter. so far it works good. if you operate on ssb you have to turn the mike gain half open.do you have any mods for the receive or transmitt power? please respond. thank you very much. |

Thats right , However this will cause you to come through your neighbors phones , jam up channel 2 on the TV set , become overmodulated and muffled , uncalibrate all your meters on the radio as well as limit you to how much mic gain you can use as well as limits on power mics. The extra square wave is not worth it.
