I have an RCI-2950 that has the new version cpu board with the capacitor instead of battery. When unit is powered up,the orange light's will come on but no display.I'm thinking the cpu is bad.Is there any way to check to be sure the cpu is bad?Any voltage chart's to go by?The Board number is DPT295040Z. |

there is a 5volt or 8volt reg on that board(i'm pretty sure it is 5v). there is also a 4.00mhz xtal on that board. these are the 1st things that i would check(off the top of my head without a processor schem in hand). if it was more than that, the whole processor can be replaced for less than $100. |

Flybynight, Did you find the problem? I have the non-battery version 2950 and my display has died. I'm wanting to get it back up and running. Thanks |

Do the 2950/2970DX radios have a "channel" display after conversion? Like a 40 channel readout? |
