ive got a galaxy dx 33 hml ,and i got all the parts for the roger beep but the transistor (2sc945) that i can not find can some one help me? thanks allagator |

Allagator, You can replace the 2SC945 with a NTE85. For you and others out there you can always check on replacement's at link below. http://nte01.nteinc.com/nte/NTExRefSemiProd.nsf/ This is a very good site for checking on replacements for parts that have been discontinued. I got 5 of them through radio shack unlimited,they were genuine japenese parts and it only took a week ,snail-mail. |

any of the radio shack npn type switching trans will work. the pin out is different, but after you bend the legs no one will ever know. |

I have a galaxy dx 959 that squeals during transmit. I disconected the mic input wire and it still squeals. It started after the 2sa1869, which is Q37 blowed. any help? |

Allagator If you have any junk radios around, you will find plenty of the 2sc945's in them. I believe that little transistor is used in more circuits in radios than anything else. Jeff, kc0gxz. |
