I've heard that the KL-40 transistor is a RM-3 FET.That's the model I recall from memory.J.C.B. |

Are there other transistors that will work in the place of the RM3? I have a burnt up one too and would like to give the answer to my local technician so that he can repair fried ones. He looked it up with his partner and they found a possible match with a transistor called a 125. They made a comment on the KL-40 and said it looks just like the old mosquito amp that used to use a 2SC1969.Please help because we're still in the dark????????? |

Jerry, Copper has the transistors in stock for the KL-40. They are $7.50 each. The 2SC1969 is only an 18 watt final, and the KL40 finals are hotter than that.

Are there any transistors out there for modifying the KL-40 for more watts? |
