As for the LEDs, I have done that to many 2950s with great results. I use two 6 volt blue LEDs, one for each side. The lighting circuit is a 12v complete circuit, meaning if just one bulb blows, both go dark. When installing the LEDs, take note of the polarity as if you put them in backward, they will not light and you risk blowing the expensive LEDs.

take the covers off and push on the boards and see if it comes back you may have a loose solder joint.use the erraser on a pencil to do this.at the back of the radio is a stand up board, wiggle it slightly also and see if it is loose.I had one with a cracked board in this area and it did the same.sonoma

tks for reply sonoma
i have tried all of that doesnt help or i just havent found the bad spot i thought maybe if it was cracked or bad solder joint it might go in and out on bumps but it doesnt do that just stays low im wandering if maybe i overloaded the rx on the radio by keying another radio on an antennae right next to an antennae hooked to this one dont know if i did this but they were both hooked up just before this went bad
