Hi all, is there any way to make the talk back in the Connex 4800 variable? |

If that has the EPT6900-10Z board, J7 should the jumper set for talk back. It lays left/right on the right hand side of the board. There are 6 pins, the 2 on the far right (closest to the edge of the board) are for the talk back on/off switch. The 2 on the far left are for the variable talk back (labled WT and W+). Place a 5K pot on these 2. |

Thanks Viking for the response. Would it be ok if I use a 1/2 watt 5K linear taper potentiometer? |

Hi Viking, another question, my 4800 has the Connex echo and there are two wires going from the WT, W+ to the echo board. Which wire do I put the pot on? Thanks for your help... |

As far as the 1/2 taper, I don't know but it shouldn't hurt to try. The schematic I have must be set up differently. It has the pot between W+ and WT. It has the on/off switch between GN and TB. It's an EPT6900-10Z I'm looking at but in the Galaxy DX2517. The echo board is shown to hook up to J12 and J14. Hopefully someone else can chime in here. |
