This is probably a dumb question, but since I have never tried it before, I figured I should ask someone. I have 2 amps. One is a Siltronix LA-550 (old tube type) and a Dynamo 150 (solid state). How would you "safely" go about hooking them up where you could run either/ or? My wife doesn't like messing with tuning the Siltronix. It would be simpler for her to just flip a switch on the dynamo. I like the old one because it really talks! It seemed to me that it would have to wired where the power was not going to the one that you weren't using. Is there a ready made system for this? Thanks for any info!! |

If you can find a coaxial switch box from Copper capable of 1000w or better, you can use it in reverse. Run each amp into each of two so239s on the sw box, and your antenna coax in the single end. Switch to whichever amp you're using. You can do the same for the radio but reverse. Radio into the single, the two outs to each amp. Just don't screw up or you'll have a mess ;) |

Cool....I thought that might work but I wasn't sure if those switches we bi-directional or not. Thanks for the help! |
