Hey 307 I did a mod on my 2950 by changing Q51 2sb754 regulator to a 2sb688 and I changed the Q53 to a ECG37(NTE153) The mod cleaned up my Audio and cooled things down a bit. I notice My Galaxy Saturn has the same regulator on the rear right side. Can I do this mod on it. Or if you know a better one. I've looked all over the web for Mods on Saturn's, hard to find, it's all the V series......Thanks.... |

hre is how you do it.change q-51 to a 2sb817 which is a 100watt 12 amp, it will cool things down and provide better voltage,as for q-53 change it to a 2sa1012 will improve clairity and volume of the modulation and will run cooler.good luck,if the saturn is the same as 2517,q-54 change to a 2sb817 and q-37 change to a 2sa1012 |

Hey Jyd, Thanks for responce..... I'll think I'll due mod this weekend, I also did a mod on my 2950 by pulling out the Sivler card in the Alu board and soldering a 20g wire across the two end pins and soldering a 20g wire from center pin to pos on power cord. The mod worked CHERRY....I noticed on the saturn it has the same Alu silver board in same location. I want to try this mod on my Saturn if it will work .......Thanks again.......73's |

9.95 is EXPENSIVE? Cheap compared to a matched pair of mrf455As, |

i didn't mean to upset you, but when i buy mine from parts suppliers and then resale them for $6.50, and then see where you paid $9.95 for one...well my last reply was typed before i thought of how you would take it. i was just thinking that you should have been able to buy that part much cheaper. i know it didn't break your bank account. sorry. |

Lon.. But he hardley makes a sale on radios!!!!!!!! LOL I mention "Oh i can get that radio cheaper from Copper." and well, he goes ballistic.. Need i say more??? LOL!!! Hes a good guy for parts (hes high on them but what can i do when i dont feel like waiting a week for a simple tiny part) and hes actually very, very, reasonable on repairs (suprisingly. Must have to be that way to make up for the lost $$$ on the high dollar radios) but to buy radios??? NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS!! |
