I want to change the backlighting bulbs(LCD)to green.
Can anyone tell me what type of 12v LEDs to use and if I need resistors too? Everything I tried doesn't work and experimenting is getting expensive ($15 so far).

LEDS do not care of voltage , only current limiting, Radio Shack has green bright LEDS. Use about 680 oHms in series with them and use 12 volts.
