I have peak and tune the galaxy 2517 to about 12 to 15 watts A.M. and 25 to 28 watts on ssb. Is there more power to get out of this radio, other than and amp. 307 any ideals? thanks!!!

It should put out about 20-22 watts , you may have to re-align the TX chain. Look in the Subscribe area of this Forum for instructions.
