Hey 307 or anybody else, When I purchased my old style RCI 2950 a while back from a yard sell. The first thing I did was pull the cover off and started checking things out. I noticed the Audio Limiter Q32 was clipped. I want to reinstall Limiter. Do you or anybody elsc know what the replacement No. is for that particular part? |

Q32 is a 2SC2714 (I think a 2SC945 will work). 307 |

Well 307 I went down to parts store and got a 2SC945. Went ahead and intalled it and it worked like a charm. That 2950 mods page, I went ahead and did the AM Swing mod and another mod towards the end of page under repairing and I tell you what WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!. Before I touched anything I checked swing on my Dosy meters. Deadkeying 3w and swinging to about 14w with a whistle. Normal talking audio only deadkeying 3w and swinging to about 8w to 10w. After putting limiter back in. and doing mods on that web page. I'm deadkeying 3.5w and swinging to about 22w with a whistle. Normal talking audio 3.5w deadkey and swing to about 18w. Dynamic is down to about 2 oclock with 100% modulation. I no it might change with someone elses meters. But thats what I read on my Dosy Libra TFC 300. I give mod a thumbs up.....Thanks for Limiter info... C-ya |
