Hello.
I want to put some questions behind me.
Whats the max to put into the 300A wattage wise? I heard that they will take as little as 2 watts ans as much as 100 to drive it. Someone told me that if you run the amp on low you can drive it with as much as 30 watts RMS swing to 100 or so and get "quite a bit" out of it. And on high i was told to run it with about 3 watts and it will swing "quite high"...
*NOTE* i didnt post wattage readings because i dont want this post to start a meter swing argument. Thats why i used the " " in place of actual numbers. LOL.

I've run the 300A's every since they came out, got 2 of'em now, one good one, and one without tubes. On low, the drivers are off, you are just running the finals. The drivers will be lit, but no output. You can drive it with higher wattage, like the 100 watt radios. I don't like to put over 3 watts into them on High, back when tubes were cheap, most people would run 4 or 5 watts drive, but that was before the high swinging export radios. When I run my 300a with an export, on High, I just use 2 watts input, on mine, that will key the amp about 150, but with great swing, and run cool.
