I have a Night K Eagle microphone, I notice a lot of "static" when I move my thum just a bit on the push-to-talk bar. I figured it was the contacts, so I took a look at the keys inside the mic, they look to be fairly clean - apparently not! lol I was just curious, what is the best product to use to clean the contacts on a Night K? I recall doing it with a dollar bill, maybe that's something different. Any help is appreciated!! :-)

You can buy contact restorer at electronics shops, or you can try some rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab.

Steve is right ... try this go to Rad Shak and get some contact cleaner then spray the contacts and then use a new dollar billl to slide between the points. It cleans them really good. I dont know why but it works.

A friend of mine give me a small file for contacts. It is about 2 inches long and maybe an 1/8 inch wide. It comes in a small holder that is labeled GC 9338. I do not where he got it but I will ask. I had to clean the contacts on 3 d104's last week to get the stratchy keyup out, and the small file worked great with help from the contact spray.
