I have a problem with the variable on the Lincoln and all radioes for that matter. It won't work right on my home system, but will work fine in my vehicle. My 2510 works just fine., no problems. All of my equipment is properly gounded. I live in an old trailor, its about 30 yrs old.Been told these homes were known for not having a good ground. If you can suggest a fix for this it would help a great deal.--Thanx in advance.

The problem is that it wont adjust properly.I use a dosey4001p meter, i know they are not the best, but according to my meter i'm only getting about 5 watts out of it. wont swing right on ssb either. i have tried it on a friends system and it works fine.

I did think of one thing.......i am using 3' jumpers, thouhgt of tring 6' jumpers?????? Don't knoww if this will maake a differance or not, but it's worth a try. The only radioes i have trouble with are ones with variable power. Like i said any other radio will work just fine.I will give it a try and let you know.

I changed all my jumpers from 3' to 6'.I wont be able to tell if this made a differance 'till I get a radio that works. Right now I am using a p.o.s. SS4900B ( an e.e.i special) it never worked right to begin with. So as soon as I get a radio, I will let y'all know.
