I have purchased a KLV 351p which they tell me is actually a KLV 400 amplifier. Does this amplifier require any type of conversion to operate on CB frequencies or 11 meters? If so could you tell me how or direct me to the appropriate source. thanks, Billy |

They have a mod page for these amps. According to this page there is a big difference between the 2 Amps. Check, and see which is yours. http://www.cfrobbins.com/toban/ Good Luck, Denny1820 |

The KLV 400 replaces the KLV 351P mobile unit. The finals are different. You need to make sure the jumper inside is on pins 1&2. |

Jyd, the 351 is now being called the KLV 400 ModP mobile amp. Don't know why as it seems the same amp but maybe something changed. Confusing name with the 400 base amp also. Copper has them and now calls'em the 400 mobile. It's just recently changed within the past 1 1/2 months. I wonder how to tell'em apart (351 and the 400 mobile)? |

Doh! I figured out my own question on how to tell them apart. Uh...look on the nameplate on the front. Mine kinda said it all...351. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Can I blame this one on too much RF exposure? |
