What's your opinion on the Heathkit #IT-12 Signal Tracer and the Heathkit #IG-102 RF Signal Generator? while I'm at it, What would be a reasonable Audio Signal Generator for AM/SSB |

No , Not even close. You need a RF synthesizer and and not an analog RF generator. The difference is stability. The output of the heathkit would wobble around really bad because it does not use a PLL making alignments impossible.You also need a generator that will reach -110dbM 307 |

Ok, so I would want to look for the B&K 2040 and 1040 then? about the signal tracer the Heathkit wouldn't be good for this? |

Yes..1040/2040 is a great combo...The tracer from Heathkit is ok... 307 |
