i have a chance to get a black hawk at a low price if its worth it and does any one know how to get info on channel modification or a web site out there with it thanks |

the blackhawk is the basic radio of a magnum 257 only a single final.does a good job with a 500 ohm mic or a d104 hand power mic.you just lose the channel function on the mic .has 10 bands at 40 channels per band.I know of about 100 that are in use and the people love them and they do not drift on ssb.I have one myself. |

Question for Ask the Tech. comanche Warrior, any thing to clip for mod and do you know wich diode for talk back... and anything else really.. Thanks |

I wouldn't recommend "clipping" a Warrior. You risk the power supply failing. I have on with a simple adjustment of the AMC and carrier, works great. |

Rodder54, If you still need it, Channel Modification for the Blackhawk is very easy. Go to link below and it even has a good picture of modification. http://www.radiomods.co.nz/framescbsite.html One thing I will say is I have two of these and one modified and the other one would not. Not sure what the difference was as both are New. I tried everything to short the two pads out and no luck. Hope this helps. Lon tech808 |
