I have a cobra 148 gtl with the 5 pin male plug in the radio, I don't have a mic for it and I am wanting to wire in a 4 pin male plug like most cobra'a have, I need to know what color wire does what in the radio to do this, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx in advance for any help. 73's barakuda |

Barakuds318, It would be much easier just to change the plug on the end of the mic you want to use. Wiring is as follows. 1) Modulation 2) Ground 3) Receive 4) N/C 5) Transmit Of course if you want to change the plug on the radio all you need to do is swap out the wiring on the 5-pin to a 4-pin.
