I have a Galaxy ff250 frequency counter that I would like to wire to my 29 nw st radio without the inline coax I want it to show the frequency even when I don't transmit And I was wondering if Techs 307 or 181 could help me know were I could do that The freq counter has the normal coax so239 connectors on that back plus there is a rc plug on the back that says signal any feedback would be greatly apprciated thanx 73's Barakuda318 |

this will work but only for rx. this is due to the fact that the vco on this radio shifts freq between tx and rx. the galaxy freq counter is designed to work with the exports that do not do this. so rx will be ok, but tx will be 455khz higher than what the radio is really generating. |

its supposed to be ss8541, but the programm here automatically capitalizes the 1st letter. i left it for a day to see if you or 181 were going to reply. i didn't want it to look like i was jumping ahead of you 2, since it was directed to both of you. not really sure why it impressed you that another tech knew how the pll system worked in the 29, but thanks. |
