I am putting a GalaxyDX55V in my truck and my question is: Can I run a KL40 and a TS667 inline in the following way It will be Galaxy-KL40-667-meter-antenna I don't want to drive the 667 with the KL40 but will it hurt to run them in series as long as I only have one or the other turned on ie using the KL40 for general everyday use and the 667 at night for skip and such. THANKS Bullseye |

It won't hurt but you'll melt that kl40 in short order. *IF* no one has clipped your limiter or volted your final, you can get away with running the kl60, your 55 needs to be adjusted so when power is all the way down it's about .8w carrier. Run the kl60 so it is keying about 15w. You can then turn it off and run the 667 (with vatiable of 667 full on) so it keys about 160w carrier. It will not hurt to have the 60 inline, just don't forget to turn it off. |

BULLS EYE: That won't work. Try using a antenna switch box like the Dosy SW4, i.e. Galaxy-switchbox-KL40/667-meter-antenna I'm not sure if the switch box will throw your match off. You'll need to buy more patch cables. It would be easier and cheaper to run 1 amp just turn the output down. Hope this helps |

the 55v will alreay do close to 35w true pep. the kl40 does about the same, so there is no use in running it all. even if it was capable of 60w or so, that still isn't a big enough jump to be very noticeable on the rxing end. you need at the very least to triple your power to make an -impression- on the rxing end. but to answer the question you asked, yes it will work fine the way you listed. |

Just for grins does anyone know what the power level variation is on the 667 basically from xx watts on low to XX WATTS ON HIGH. I may just be able to use it and run low mostly and turn it up to DX "occassionally"!!! |
