1/2 wave = a99 less gain 5/8 wave = imax2000 more gain In my opinion i would take th imax, and they even just came out for a ground plane kit for the imax |

No its a step up from the a99 but not as good as the imax2000. So what I am trying to say is that its in the middle. |

Buck, don't waste your money on the GPK. It will work fine without it.I put the GPK on my A99 and all it did was bring in more noise...meaning static..... |

Well, its only 20'.(hoping to add another 10' to it this summer).I have a 80' hill thats about 75' away from the back of my house. I had it ontop of that hill on a 25'pole. Tried it with and without the GPK and noticed NO diff. All it did was add more static and make the A99 look funny. I would like to ask y'all a question......Taz, maybe you can answer this for me, I have been told that the A99 does not work well when mounted on the side of a tower. Is this true? |

on the "SIDE"? no antenna would work good when mounted on the "SIDE" the tower is designed to have the antenna mounted on the top of the tower unless its a receiving antenna. |
