THANKS FOR THE INFO ON THE MOHAWK LINEAR. DO YOU HAVE ANY MOTRE INFO AS TO WHAT OUTPUT TO EXPECT,HOW MUCH DRIVE, AND POSIBLY WHERE TO GET A SET OF SCHEMATICS FOR A MOHAWK 10? I KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT THIS. I THINK IT IS A 10 METER AMP. THANKS, CHUCK(MOUSETRAP) |

307 OR 181: I still need some help with a MOHAWK 10 meter linear model 5-B.I obtained a schematic for it. On the high voltage circuit board it's showing two red wires from the transformer (showing 1000-vac)to this board. The schematic shows one side of the transformer going to two large 20 ohm resistors, and from the resistors into two diodes. The resistors are marked CLARD vc-10F,and the board is marked below the one diode(17-0088).I would like to replace these resistors and diodes. The resistors are about one and three ouater inch long and about as big around as a lead pencil. the one diode has been replaced with three small diodes soldered in series. and the other one was burnt( it was a small square plastic case with two pins mounted to the board). Is there any way you can help me aquire these two resistors and two diodes in their proper value? Thanks, Mousetrap. |

I believe the resistor is a 10 ohm Wire Wound and the diode is definatly a 1000 Volt PIV type..Radio Shack has them. There is a trick in soldering 3 diodes in series to get the max PIV but will not last... 307 |
