I have a couple of books on this. But they all are in the basement right now. I was only able to find one of them it tells how to modify it to 27.000 but I believe they were able to go all the way to 26.000 but heven knows where my wife stuck the box. It has been I would say 15 years since I have seen one or even put my hands on one myself. If you need this modification I can scan it and send it to you. Just let me know. |

Never did put lowers in a 1011. What they always asked for was coverage from 27.5 to 28.0. I CAN tell you that an external VFO is NOT the answer. It just isn't built to accept an external slider at all. The Siltronix VFOs were all built for crystal-controlled radios. Changing frequencies on this one requires opening the VFO compartment behind the dial and changing fixed parts mounted to the band switch. I hope Garyjr can come up with his version. The only one we ever had was for uppers only. 73 |
