Would this amp be a good driver for a higher power amp and if so which one (mobile).I'd appreciate an answer from anyone knowledgable on this subject. |

yeah man they arent bad. cheap amp but will work as a driver. its more of a modulator anyway . it should serve its purpose well but use a low dead key around 1-2 watts and it will last forever. good luck. oh if this is the one that has the one pill ...i had the deer hunter 100... use 1 watt only and itll drive a texas star 500hdv or even the 400 hdv high drive amps only. good luck. |

It may be suitable to drive a custom made class C 4 transistor amp or other 8 transistor amps. |

THANX,I also have a Palomar Elite 250 with 2-srf3749 pills 85 a piece,a hooker bi-linear 100 with 2 mrf 455a ,biased wrong for ssb,a shooting star 225 with 2 mrf 455 and a golden eagle 150 with 2 mrf 450,the eagle was L-padded for better modulation.Oh yeah the grey has a mrf 450 4-watts max dead key. |
