I have my MACO 103c horizontal on top of a ridge on the top of a mountain. What would be the correct height to get the best take off angle for this antenna in this MOUNTAINOUS AREA I live in ??? Right now I have it 27 foot. I know the signal for 11 meter's wave length is 36 foot but does this apply when it is mounted on top of a mountain on a ridge??? P. S. On one side of the ridge the land has a sharp drop off angle. The other side's are flat. |

Reason I had this question is where the one side is steep slope and the rest is not and the reflection angle might be different on the slope side. If it does affect it a lot then here is the question What would be the right height for the best take off angle?? Or would it really not matter much like you had said DALE. By the way, thank you for the comment and your thinking on this. You could be right. However, anyone else have any answer's or experience with the situation such as mine?? |

Thanks again Dale, Like all 11 meter and ham operator's we always want the best out of our system. GOD BLESS . Perhaps conditions will improve and we can communicate on 11 meter. |
