Techs,
We all know about the AV-101 Astroplane and why it was designed and indeed how well it works but I cant find any discussion anywhere on the NET for the Avanti AV-100 Astro.
It appears the copyright of 1978 in the AV-100 handbook is same as my AV-101 handbook so I guess they were still selling the AV-100 at the same time the AV-101 was being sold? When did the AV-100 come on the market? Prior to AV-101?
Was it sold as a CB antenna or as a 10M HAM antenna as the top radiator is adjustable and didn't have to confirm to the height restrictions of CB at the time?
Id love to know how having the full 1/4 element effects the radiation pattern? Tech 833?
Anyone else out there have this antenna?
Here in the UK. I know of know-one ever using this antenna past or present. Some of you guys in the US must of had one at some stage?
Would love to know more...
