Does anyone know how much loss there is when you use a coax barrel connector on 11 meter frequency? |

Almost immeasurable. The total loss in 2 male connectors and a barrel is maybe 0.5 dB or so. Where you get measurable loss is when the connectors are not installed properly. Your radio 'Mythbuster' since 1998

Thank you my friend 833. It had been a while. I am going to use the CA 600 to run to my 2 meter 70cm beam antenna. Of course I can't use the 600 connected to the beam so I have to use a short piece of cable that will flex to rotate the beam. Reason for beam is I am a long way from some repeater's and mountain's are blocking me from other's. I have it up temp and it really help's. |
