--So, who makes it? It looks similar to what Uniden or Cobra might put out, but also the newer Midlands, maybe.

I just looked up on the FCC website, here: https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm Just type in the frequency range in Mhz, which in this case would be 26.965 to 27.405. There are around 360 different CBs listed, and it's in the 350-360 range. It's made by Uniden.

I saw this new radio in several travel truck stop plazas over the last few weeks. It looks nice, but when you look close, you see the same knobs etc as Uniden.
so the question I have is: what would make me want to buy it over other cb radios? Not knocking it, it looks really nice, easy features to work etc. Price is kinda high, but that is just my opinion.

It's pretty much the same as a Uniden, but with the addition of the RK56 Noise Cancelling microphone (which is a proven, high quality, noise-cancelling microphone and a 2.1 amp USB charger, which can come in quite handy. It seems like a pretty good deal, actually.

Used to be a proven high quality microphone. I bought one of the new ones last year and was very disappointed. It sounds like a stock mic. When compared to an old turner telex rk56 it is very obvious. The new ones only say turner on the back and the rubber lip guard is smaller.
