I hadn't had my radio on in a while till the other day. And I don't have any recieve on it now. The needle doesnt move. Doesn't recieve AM, SSB, Weather, Neither does the talkback work or PA.Transmitt still works fine.I have checked the mike wireing, speaker wireing and checked for any loose conections. Can anyone help with this ?I realy would apericate it.

Thanks!

When you say it doesnt receive are you talking no meter movement as well, or the needle moves but no audio??

When you say it transmits are you talking about just carrier or carrier and audio??

The answers to these will give us a better chance on remotely diagnosing the issues.

from what little you have said,I am inclined to suspect that TX is carrier only, and that there is an issue wit the audio section, but need those answers to have a better idea.

By verfied transmit, do you mean there was audio?? You really did not say.

If you have TX audio, no RX and no PA, you are looking at more than one fault.

A bad mic cable, may cause no receive audio, but would not affect the meter. The same is true for a bad CB/PA switch, which would also kill transmit.

If you have TX audio, I'd be looking at issues around the TX/RX switching circuits, but not having a schematic and not knowing the actual radio could not begin to suggest what or where.

Unless some here knows the radio better, you may be looking at a trip to a tech

Thanks BuddyT - that helps having that clarified. I'll dig around see, if I can come up with a schematic, at which point I should be able to give you a better idea where to look.
