was wondering why, after installing the kit I purchased with the EKL components(en-1230,erf-2030)and of course removed r-38,r-40 and c-45 before. the radio does NOT put out 40-watts. The radio does only 4-watts. wow! go figure. |

Where did you get your instruction for the mod? I'm willing to bet that if you go back through them again you might find a missed step. It sounds like the 2030 does not have the required bias. |

the instructions came with the kit, and no steps missed. also no bias adjustment for the final as far as I can tell, its only a cobra 25. but, thank you! |

On this forum look under Subscriber Preview Articles and Manuals and cross compare from the kit to the article. You will need to tune though. I've seen some get 25w peaks and some actually get a little higher. Try to remember though 4X the carrier is 100% modulation. Most above is splatter across the band and out of band. Just my 2 cents so don't throw rocks. Howdy Scooterman!
