OK Guys and gals got a real strange one, I have a SS3900G that on receive is shifted 10KC. When you key up it transmits on the correct frequency but receives 10KC up??? I'm pulling my hair out! I was trying to perform the Fine clarifier unlock but the one listed must be wrong on this radio?? It went haywire, I put everything back the way it was and also removed my 10KC switch. No go still shifted? any ideas? Was all good before.
currently looking for a galaxy 88 or connex 4800dxl/e???

It's possible that if the mod was wrong, you have damaged the PLL. Put the wrong voltage on the wrong pin and BAM.
How do I know?? from experience (yep even qualified techs make mistakes at times). I had picked up an old Azden 2m radio, and did not realize that two pins in the mic plug were shorted - 12V on directly to the wrong pin of the PLL = 1 dead radio. replacement PLL was astronomical.

That's what I was thinking! Didn't want to remove it if I didn't need to? Seems to me like the PLL multipliers are off 10KC?

Well it was my fault! To do the clarifier mod you cut the green wire, I put the green wire back but did not realize there were two green wires , I connected to the wrong one and just so happens on the board it was marked +10. DOH! My bad. Changed the PLL For nothing. Sometimes I just need to slow down and chill! Live and learn! All is good the radio's smokin on the air again!
