Hey all, long time no talk. I have a Galaxy 949 that is experiencing high SWR. I traced it back to the radio. When I touch a OHM meter probe to the center contact on the radio and one to the chassis of the radio, I get a reading. I DON'T believe this is normal, is it?? If not, what is the problem? This should actually be in the radio section probably, but hey, I'm putting it here... any help from some old friends on here would be great. Thanks guys. We need more information, such as how hig a reading - 50 omhs could be correct while a dead short may not be. Some radios have a coil across the output (part of the filtering), so may show a DC short across the socket while at 27MHz it is the correct 50 ohms impedence.
