Hi Folks: I got a RM stinger board, and I am going to try to put it in myself. I have a question for the techs: What are J1 and J2 in this photo? http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/w374/disposeable556/StingerBoard.jpg Thanks of any help you can give me. AGreyMan |

Do you have any instructions at all? Try going to the RM Italy website and see if they have the manual on line. |

The "manual" on RM Ital's web site is laughable... But there is a schematic diagram: http://www.rmitaly.com/download/manuals/KL60-manual_rel_400.pdf In the schematic, J1 and J2 are in the lower left portion. Thanks again for any help. |

To me it seems like that might be an added delay for SSB transmission. When connected together it would add c2 to the base circuit of TR1. When charged it would keep the base TR1 energized a while longer, just what SSB requires. SSB transmission is not a constant output like AM. You only have output while you are modulating. |

Scooterman: You are absolutely right! I found a set of installation instructions. J1 to J2 is indeed the SSB/AM switch, per their instructions. Thanks so much for working on this for me. I appreciate the help. |
