Im new to the forum not sure how it works but ill give it a try. I have recently bought an older TNT 12 PACK it has 2x2290 driving 8x2879 . I tried driving it with a Unidin 66 1.5w dk and 17w pep and only got 400 pep out of it. I changed radios to my RCI2950 with 6w dk and a little over 28w swing and got better results to just shy of 600 out of the tnt. Seems the harder i drive it the more i get out of it. What would be the proper drive for this thing??????? Please any help would be great. Thanks in advance. |

I took it to a local shop they dropped a pair of new driver transistors in and now its working correctly. That was a fast drop of $145 dollars |

Off topic a tad, but if you think the $145 is bad, I have a friend whwo owes a Mercedes that had a bad pulley and a chewed belt. The dealer quoted over $250 to repair. It cost $60 for pulley and belt, and 15 minutes of my time to replace them. 10 minutes of which was spent it trying to work out how to remove the tension from the belt. That works out to $180 for labour or around $3.16 per minute. Glad to hear the Amp is working again. Tech237 N7AUS God made me an athiest, who are you to question his wisdom?

145 for a pair of $36 transistors and 20 minutes labor isn't exactly the best price around.lol but everyone has to make a living. The amp is now sitting on a shelf due to lack of amperage and battery capacity . But the good thing is as long as its sitting on the shelf ts like money in the bank. Lol |
