If a Antenna Tuner is rated to handle 300 watts, can you put it in to bypass mode and run more power though it not using the tuning circuit? Thank you. |

Yes, and no. Usually, the switch used to control the "thru" and "bypass" mode is not rated for more power than the tuner itself. It's also worth noting that with all antenna tuners, as the mismatch becomes worse, the tuner's power rating goes down. Your radio 'Mythbuster' since 1998
