After a long storage radio now receives as if the signals were ones you would hear during an Aurora. It is very garbled,but understandable. Maybe a cap? |

Driver-Final bias current being off spec can cause distortion....... Alles ist besser mit Soße! No I'm not a Tech,I just know enough to be a nuisance.

does the radio also have an abnormally high noise level. bad filter in the IF can do that on RX... Alles ist besser mit Soße! No I'm not a Tech,I just know enough to be a nuisance.

The noise level seems normal. AM sounds normal. Not sure if the filter would go bad from sitting. |

Thanks I will check it. If its not open maybe a bad solder joint?? I would like to get this rig working again. It's nice except for this problem. |
